Thanks. My LAT is my MZ. The addresses configured are 192.168.10.0 to 255 and thats all. I dont want more at the moment. Every host there though does ping to the internet. I thing i have created the right packet filter. I think i understood that i need to create a packet filter that allows icmp requests from the addresses of the DMZ to the Internet and to the LAT. Did I understood right? -----Original Message----- From: Jim Harrison [mailto:jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, August 08, 2001 4:50 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Re: An ISA Scenario http://www.ISAserver.org Pings are only allowed from the LAT to the Internet or from the LAT to the DMZ by default. You have to create packet filters to allow pings in any other direction. Keep in mind that you'll never ping from Internet (MZ?) to the LAT. I do everything by the book (keeping the private addresses in the MZ segment in the LAT, enable IP routing and packet filtering etc.) If i follow the scenario of implementing a trihomed configuration as suggested by Tom Shinder, and enable the getting started article of the same author (allowing all access in both directions) I should be able to ping both from DMZ everywhere and from MZ also. This is not happening. Please assist me. _____ ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: kbourlia@xxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
