Jeff what i heard was that prescriptions will have an $1 govt fee added to them
(cant remember what they call it) but some chemist are not going to pass on the
extra $1 to the customer. One such chemist according to an ad on TV is
priceline chemists. I maybe wrong but thats my understanding.
As for other allowances that DSP recipients can get and DSP being reduced I
have not heard anything in relation to DSP being reduced. I heard the only
thing happening there is that the PES (Pensioner Education Supplement) will
cease which will be a great loss to people on DSP that are studying and using
the PES to offset there study costs and fees.

Hi All, I was watching the news the other day and I heard the cost of
prescriptions was going to drop one dollar per script and some chemists were
not going to pass this discount on, I also heard if someone on the DSP may
get their DSp payments reduced if they receive other allowances from
Centrelink and I was wondering if anyone knew which allowance would effect
the DSP?
If anyone knows more about the new changes to the DSP could you please let me
know?
Many thanks Jeff Parker
