::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Hello,
My name is Dr Mike Kent and I am a researcher at Curtin University. Along with
Dr Katie Ellis we are conducting research to look at how accessible the
different video on demand sites in Australia are for people with disabilities.
This is an email asking you to participate in a brief (15 question) online
survey. This relatively new way of accessing television through the internet is
a rapidly growing part of the media environment. We are very keen to get the
perspectives of people with different disabilities on how accessible the
different services offered are.
It helps us to know your answers even if you do not use these services.
With subscription sites like Netflix and Foxtel on Demand rapidly growing in
popularity and use, if this is the future of television, as some have
predicted, then we want to make sure that is able to be accessed by everyone
regardless of any disability or impairment that they may have. Your experience
and opinion is very valuable to this project, and we hope that you are able to
take the ten minutes to complete the survey.
There is a link to the survey at the bottom of this email. If you are happy to
participate then please read the information sheet below and then click though
to the survey. Please note that you must be 18 years or older to participate in
the survey.
Thanks very much for your help,
Mike and Katie
