Add google talk to that. And gmail, too had chat function come into FF long
after it came into IE. I hardly know any contribution of google to desktop
linux.
Maybe there is and I am ignorant of the fact.
One simple fact is that majority of desktop users are using Windows.
but things are slowly changing. people have opted for desktop linux
like ubuntu, mandrake for personal use.
google uses linux/unix in their servers.
