On the open source front, the dotproject project is a good open source
project management tool. It does provide neat tools to track the
lifetime of a project. It does provide Gantt chart, not sure if it
does provide any other variety of charts. You can check-out the online
demo www.dotproject.net/demo (userid: guest; pass: guest). I'm also
not sure if it has a plugin to integrate with M$ Project.
On the commercial front, you can take a look at one of offering from
CollabNet, CollabNet Enterprise Edition! It comes with various tools
including the one for project management. It also have a plugin to
integrate with M$ Project. You can also use 15 user limited edition
for free.
