hi,

Please use a related subject line.

"Linux server" is a generic term. Is the machine connected to the
internet? If yes, does it run a mail server software (like
sendmail/exim)?

mohan> to send mails to other mail ids which come under the other
servers... my way

up...

mail is a mail client. It does not send the mail all by itself. It uses
sendmail to send mails. Hence it will work only with mail server
softwares which have sendmail-compatible interfaces like exim, etc.,

sendmail/exim/postfix-doc will definitely be worth a read.
