I want to know what are the possible reasons of router connection failure
I dont have a listing of reasons for failure, but here is how to
generally troubleshoot linux router issues.
* Check if the routing table has the entries to the destination
network/host. (use route command)
* Try pinging the destination.
* If unable to ping the destination, try pinging intermediate routers, if any.
* Try traceroute to see if any routers are blocking filtering traffic.
I cant understand what exactly you mean by "router connection
failure". Also, if you have hardened your linux router, make sure the
iptables/tcpwrappers allow packets from the destination.
If these dont help you, then you could try posting more specific
information regarding your setup.
