Hi Balachandran Sivakumar,
? ? ? ? Isn't it that we need to pay only if we need support ? Are
should we be paying for the software itself(without any kind of
support) ? My understanding about RHEL was that we need to pay only if
we need support from RHEL. Thanks
All the software RHEL has, are free only.
You can get them in source format in their respective repositories.
You can get the source and compile them yourself.
Downloading the source, compiling, building RPM, verifying, certifying them,
monitoring them for any update, giving patches and updates to existing system
are the part of support and they all needs a lot of resource.
Thats why RedHat is asking money.
