yes - first tutorial
2. why are you doing this? do you plan to follow this up with more
advanced stuff?
we plan to produce a huge amount of foss code - and foss code is best
written in scripting languages, of which python is one of the best.
So we are doing this to build up a pool of python programmers
3. (possible flamebait) why python?
will do the same for perl and ruby if we get faculty for them
