I agree with Prashanth, this is indeed a lame posting.
It is as bad a posting as this: "Hey I have a problem in Ubuntu Audio,
interested people please connect with me"
This is special interest mailing list, not a list for desperate job seekers.
I assume the company "needs" good resource, so they are obliged to give
proper details.
@Kenneth, if it is not your company and you are just playing a good
samaritan (postman), even then you can't afford to get away with pathetic
posting and top it with useless arrogance.
Members have right to question posting and decent reply would be a proper
explanation and certainly not "then do not Apply"
If anybody is still not convinced and don't care for mailing list
etiquette...imagine series of following emails.
"A friend of mine is looking for friendly linux people, connect with me
offline"
"A new company is looking for fresh talent in PHP, connect with me offline"
"A very old company is looking for old(experienced) Ruby on Rails people,
connect with me offline"
"A secret company is looking for expert who has expert level skill in
Linux,PHP, Phython and Lisp, interested people connect with me offline in
secret manner"

on the contrary kg's post was more like a word of mouth which IMHO is
much better than long boring
job description written by someone who might not really know what he
writes. anyone attracted by the keyword
django and interested enough to apply will find a way to find more
information about the opening.
also do you rely on the description of the recruiting company on the
job description? any serious taker will do his own research.
