i am using RH 9.0 and i have installed 2.6 kernel more than twice and
did work out that smooth for me and "make oldconfig" is perhaps the
worst thing to do it takes more than 25 min to answer all those
questions. also many errors pop up after i install the kernel like "no
support for VFAT",or doesnt detect some of the hardware.do you have
any alternate method for installing the new kernel smoothly without
any errors.
