Hi all,
In my college there is a "Thin-Client' lab with about 20 clients, booting
from a a HP Proliant ML350-G3 server. They are running the server with
Windows 2000 Server currently. Seems they are facing a lot of problems
(obvious isn't it?)
All previous attempts to install linux in the server, had failed - I was
told. It seemed they were never able to configure the RAID drives in the
server. They said Red Hat didn't support the configuration , and they needed
a "Smart Start" CD to do the job which they lacked. As usual, as one crazy
linux "Newbie" I decided to try installing a good linux distro in the
server.
I googled for sometime and based on resposes from different forums, I chose
"Skolelinux" to be installed in the server. I failed to do it sucessfully :(
None of the boot loaders, got installed. Am I overlooking any detail? Is
there anything else I have to understand?
