I am a noob in Linux too, but I have done quite a bit of exploration. I can
perhaps help you with this complete installation and explain you a few
things on the way as well. By the way, I hope this is going to be for your
personal use. I do not want to mess up with a professional setup.
We can do a a dual-boot system too if you are interested, although it is
not recommended for technical reasons. I always kept Windows along with
Linux until about a year ago, just in case ;-) I am in Chennai too, but we
can simply catch up on skype call or something, and let me know if you
think we should do this together. Perhaps this weekend is the best time.
