teaching it to schools, colleges and even to your grandma.
Are you good enough to contribute patches to open source projects?
Are you capable enough to start an open source project?
First do that.
Then talk about teaching others.

these are only particular examples. Contributing to the Foss movement does
not require you to be a pundit in FOSS. if foss is only for the pundits to
spread, then it will never never be spread. This mail is against the
philosophies of FOSS and LUG.
i do not contribute to Opensource projects, i do not, i am not good at
patches, i have not started an open source project, yet i am a proud
FOSSian.
