do not forget to take media (pen drive or DVD or external hard drive)
... and give Baskar/yourself enough time to copy the 60GB to your media.
I recommend students to bring external usb hard drive for copying the
repositories, since
all distro repositories are more than 20gb in size.
Just curious - how long does the copy take assuming the HDD is hooked
up to an IDE/SATA port in the file server system?
Normally less than 2 hrs when copied to external USB hard drive (my
internal hdd is 1TB SATA).
Recently i connected a second 1TB SATA HDD and transferred the repository,
the data transfer rate was around 70MB/sec.
