The first step is to get a hub/switch with the right number of ports
to accomodate all the computers you have.

Then you can configure a DHCP server on the P4 machine to give out
addresses to the other computers.

Once this is done, the computers will be able to ping each other and
communicate.  The other applications  you want (NFS, CVS etc.) can
then be configured easily.
