Found this nice python interpreter - bpython
while skimming the packages in synaptic package manager.

It is an easy python shell to learn.

Sounds cool. Also try "ipython". I'm sure you will still be impressed!

Just had a look at the screen shots, quite impressed.
It seems to be better than ipython which I have been using for a while.
