[Ilugc] addition to planet

I tried it on the other day and it threw some error, I thought it was
intermittent and wanted to try later. Few minutes back I tried and got
the same error,

This happens when I click "Edit planet" link after logging in. this
happens before I put any details in "Join planet". A more meaningful
error message will be good.
FYI, I ve joined planet and this error is not visible anymore.
