Let me tell you about my new Acer Travel Mate 2413
It has all the fetaures you are looking for
Celeron M (1.5 GHZ), 256 RAM,DVD Writer,Wifi 802.11b/g,915 Chipset
All at surprising price of 35,000 K.I wasnt confident about it when I first
saw it.
But apart from that glassly look( because I dont personally like that) on
the outside, I love this desi product,
Its lighter than the 14'' Dell Inspiron,good performance( with Ubuntu
especially),1 year warranty and international support.
Does lack some features of harddisk protection,biometric security(as in Dell
and Thinkpad).I purchased the model only because I felt the components are
stable. Its better than my dad's 14'' Dell.
A new model from Acer is priced at 30,000k but the only difference is it
lacks DVD Writer but comes with Combo Drive.
But I will suggest you to look at the new Centrino Duo processor based
laptops,Centrino Duo is considered to be the
next generation high performance processor from Intel.
Note : Comes with Linux as the default Operating System.
