Mine is an 855GM with 8mb memory for a 15" LCD.
My DRM is i915, XvMC enabled.
I hear that X.org renders images faster, though i see no perceptible change.
It is supposed to be faster because it is a lot more slimmer compared
to the earlier beast. Support for various devices is fast catching up.
But ofcourse, there are other factors that influence the rendering
speed, efficiency and clarity than just this one, though major,
component.
