Hello Friends!
I am using Mandrake 9.2 with KDE. yesterday i have tried to install
fonts.
For that i copied required .ttf files to "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF"
and i run the command "$mkfontdir" inside the TTF.
After that , fonts have worked untill the sytem shutdown but today
morning it didnt load the xserver. while startx... it shows the
following
error..
First lot of Warning messages like this...
" Warning : Symbol map for key<ESC> redefined
Using last definition for conflicting fields "
Finally it gives
" Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server
Could not init font path element unix/:-1,removing from list!
Fatal server error:
could not open default font 'fixed' "
I have searched in google but everyone give different solutions..
someone told its because of lack of disk space partition in /tmp .
That is also true i have less free space in root .
Can i delete the /tmp files? which files are all important in /tmp?
And also i have very big log files. Shall i empty log file contents?
pls suggest me.
Thank You
Regards,
