Hi,
I am using redhat 7.3 with 2.4.18-3 kernel. Here i am trying to scan
things with my hp scanjet3200c scanner(parallel port) and is connected to
my pc. I am able to scan from win98 and unable to scan from linux, i
suppose the driver for hp scanjet3200c is missing in mine. I have my
sane(scanner access now easy) libraries and frontends (xsane, scanimage,
xscanimage) installed proper and parport kernel module too is loaded and
no printer is connected to my machine and lpd is stopped. If i invoke
scanimage app, it reports 'no SANE device is found'. Even if i invoke
anyother frontends, it reports similar error.
Is there linux driver for hp scanjet3200c or compatible is available? If
so, can you please point it out here. Have anyone tried using hp
scanjet3200c in linux successfully? If yes, your valuable comments about
installing/configuring appropriate driver are very welcome.
TIA.
regards,
bhuvaneswaran
