It is really dreadful when we realize that we do not have
the backup
and data directory is lost. Importance of backup is only
felt in these
situations.

Somehow, try to piece together the data lost and take
precautions
(backups, backups, backups) for the future.


With huge hard disk spaces available backing up data over network in another 
system is the best method. Haveing a cronjob do this automatically using 
ssh+rsync/rdiffbackup will give peace of mind.
