Hi,
X-forwarding should be enabled on the SSH server as well as the client
so that X connections can be tunneled over SSH.

Moinak.

Hi ,
any gui program for that matter needs an Xserver running in
that machine or the DISPLAY variable set to anyother machine that
has an Xserver running.moreover you are connecting from a windows machine
which doesn't hv an Xserver by default.if you really want Xdesktop
in windows try something like Xmanager (shareware) :-( .
or from connect from any *nix box .and u nedd to set the following
DISPLAY=<any IP>:<display no>.<screen no>
eg. DISPLAY=172.12.1.1:0.0
and disable access control using xhost (man xhost for more details)
Happy hacking
