Hi,
I'm using Arch x86_64 on my laptop.
I'm trying to connect my laptop to my LCD tv via the available VGA port.
GNOME displays doesnt recognize the new screen at all.
So i tried xrandr -q
output:
--------------
Screen 0: minimum 1280 x 800, current 1280 x 800, maximum 1280 x 800
default connected 1280x800+0+0 0mm x 0mm
1280x800 0.0*
--------------
My X server uses input hotplugging. so there is nothing i can do with xorg.conf
lspci is able to detect the VGA controller.
output of lspci | grep -i VGA
-----------
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series
Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07)
-----------
I saw on the arch forums that xrandr gives three screens usually.. the
default (screen 0 in my case), a LVDS and a VGA output. xrandr isn't
even able to recognize the VGA port
Anything I can do to make it work?
