Dear all
Kenneth,I and Parthan conducted a two day workshop on FOSS to the
1 and 2 year student of MCA in VLB Janakiammal Engg College
Coimbatore on 4 and 5th Apr 2007.
Kenneth inagurated the session with a talk on contributing to FOSS.
We covered intro,installation basic gui-cli, visual programming,
networking, scripting langugage and ltsp.
The students were enthusiastic, the faculty and management very
supportive. I am sure to see growing use of FOSS in this college and
hope many of forthcoming final year projects will be in FOSS.
On behalf of ILUGC I thank the management,Prof Thilagu HOD and
other faculty members for giving us an opportunity. I also thank
NRCFOSS for arranging this.
