Tool of the Day: Luma
luma is a graphical utility for accessing and managing data stored
on LDAP servers. It is written in Python, using PyQt and python-ldap.
Plugin-support is included and useful widgets with LDAP-
functionality for easy creation of plugins are delivered.
I appreciate your enthusiasm for finding interesting tools and sharing
them. Some of your posts has been a memory jogger for me.
However, do a look at the project activity. The last activity on the
web site is 2008.
I have been using LAM (LDAP Account Manager - a PHP based Web UI).
It integrates with openLDAP (with Samba schema) pretty well. For the
CLI enthusiasts - smbldaptools suite works well.
Also, with the eminent release of Samba4, we may have other options
for deploying and managing DSs.
Thanks,
