Option. ?Why I mention this here, is not to correct YOU, but to tell you
how is the Thunderbird 7, settings here in my Ubuntu 10.04. ?Please let me
know, if some thing is wrong in this version.
I don't understand what you are stuck with here. You might want to
upgrade to Thunderbird 9.0 ( if you think there is something wrong
with version 7.0) .
If you are looking for alternatives, one mail client that you should
really try is claws mail. It's in the repos.
You can try this: Edit -> Folder Properties -> click on the 'repair
folder' button. (this might get back your mails by chance)
Good ol' advice, before you do anything, BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP your
Thunderbird folder by copying the /home/<user>/.thunderbird folder to
somewhere safe.
