[Ilugc] [Thamizh] audio cd to .ogg file conversion?

I would like to  convert the music files in a audio
cd to files with .ogg
extension. any appllication that could achieve this
? I am using ubuntu

Please try perl audio converter - pacpl ,
you can search for it in freshmeat.net.
sox can also do it but quality is not good.
Or you can first convert the file to wav and use 
oggenc.
