Any way I won't be donating, but is there a a 50% tax rebate under form 80g?
changing the topic, as its deviating from original intention.
We in-fact applied & got it rejected. ;-)
Went for hearings with the appropriate department;s Commissioner & co.
cited him all appropriate reasons, similar foundations overseas, grant of 80G
for FSF India.
at times they were wondering, software being such a wealthy profitable
industry, why do these people raise funds like sectors
I felt, at last he realised the importance, but didn't want to take risk under
him.
the application was rejected. these things rest solely on the discretion of the
deciding authority. I am sure he personally understood the cause.
need to start back the whole process again.
