Dear ILUGC,
After Mr.Thyagarajan's talk and Shakthi's demo, I spent some time with
Debian Sarge, trying to get Indian languages to work. I wanted to
inform you that upon installing the package tamil-gtk2im and following
the readme in the package, Tamil works flawlessly on GTK based
applications, including Mozilla Firefox. The key is bound, by default,
to double shift (meaning press both shift keys together).
So, do try it out. Also, it'd be nice if someone could test Suse and
Fedora Core, as they are also bound to have this feature.
