So I will:
1. Talk about the Cray XD1 (http://www.cray.com). And if possible
demo the
administrative GUI.. (I normally use a command line.. .which
is
also available).
2. Talk about SATA and what I have been doing with that for
centralized NFS servers.
(with Terabytes of storage). (Which is also the machine I use
for PXEboot
and Kickstart and autoyast).
3. I will discuss some of the features of LVM (I am open to
comments, of other
similar filesystems. I had used SGIs XFS also, and I have not
had a chance to
play with EVMS).
4. I will have handouts regarding PXE boot/kickstart/autoyast
setup
and how you can
mix linux boxes in a Windows network that also uses PXEboot.
Thanks, Mark - feel free to drop any or all of the items if you're
out of time for preparation - there's enough stuff here for four
talks. If you need a net connection, we may have to change the
venue to Ma Foi. Bharathi, Asokan, others - comments?
We are more than happy to host the meet - and in general, we are
free in the evenings and we are always ready to host meetings
with a few hours' notice <<MOST>> of the time.
But in case it rains, please remember that the approach road
is rather bad after - even small - rains :-(
