Yes the dying child will be saved but that child will still be one notch
down in the society when compared to other so called elite children  who
were fortunate to have  parents who could afford both health care and
education.

Anyways, see, this also adds to my case. We as a society is this
immature,
dumb and class conscious. Let's remove all of these and spend money on
these.


Good point. Yes and that is exactly being done now with the laptops and
etc and some forces are bent on stopping the reforms and that makes me sad.



Yes I agree on the point of empowering with information. But at what cost?
Kids I know hardly ever use their computers for getting empowered. They
typically use it play games, enjoy social networking, stream videos and as
a
.huge juke box of songs and videos. I don't want my tax money to be used
for
.this.

And you know kids use it for browsing wikipedia too nowadays. So do you
want to deprive those genuine kids too?



Education is not about laptops. Did Dr.Abdul Kalam have a laptop when he
was
kid?

Times change. I used to go to British council earlier for all the
information not computers or laptops. But nowadays show me one college
student without a laptop/computer ?  It has become a necessity of life.
