for webcam do we use ???????? or something else?

?????????? or ???????? are proper translations. But I am not sure how
commonly these words are used currently.

protocol - ????? ????

??????? and ??????? ???????? are other options. ??????? ???????? captures
the exact meaning of protocol. The other two seem to be more commonly used.
????? ???? translates more exactly to directions.

friend is ?????? what about buddy (a more colloquial word for friend)

signed ?????????????
broadcasting ??????????
conference ????????????

What context? Depending on the context, there are various translations for
conference.

cha? ???????

?????? is more appropriate, and also in common usage.

chatroom ????????

?????? ???????.

plugin?

?????? or ??????


tab ???????
trigger

????, ?????????

update

 ?????????????, ?????????????????, ???????????????????

parameter

???????
