[Ilugc] Summer Workshops

Why cant we just go for video conferencing or request Mr. Swaminathan to record 
his speech , play it during the workshop.And for queries we can use the group 
....People like him who have a lot of industrial exposure are difficult to find 
even if you find one they wont be interested in doing it for free.So I request 
to use whatever means we have to get the knowledge to flow..

something of my 26 years of experience to our community.


I do not know if you have noticed - Chennai LUG as such conducts practically 
nothing. LUG guys go out and do things on behalf of the LUG. I fail to see why 
you are waiting for Mumbai LUG to 'use' you. Go out, fix something, announce on 
the LUG list, ask for volunteers - and just go ahead and *do* it regardless of 
whether the volunteers turn up. I know the youngsters in Mumbai - they have 
never failed to turn up for any event I have announced in the area.
