No its not. I system stopped responding. needed a cold reboot and now
the things are working fine. Just wanted to know what could hav
triggered the scsi error
Such errors are usually the precursor of impending failure. Suggest
backup of your critical data before the next reboot of your system.
BTW, last week I had a file system failure on a Maxtor 160GB disk due
bad sectors. I got no warnings at all, luckily I had backed up the
critical files to another disk. After reformatting, the disk is
working fine but am I going to trust it? No.
