I have planned to buy an SBC (single board computer
) running linux on MIPS
or ARM architecture.
I would prefer a low cost board with minimum
ethernet and serial interfaces
When you buy a development board, you try to spend as
much as possible and get all that you want. You never
know what you might need later, and these things can't
be upgraded unless you have hardware provision for
peripherals that you can mount or solder later.
I have not used MIPS. Here are some ARM development
