If you use apt-get to install apache, the beautiful
packaging scripts will take care of starting it up for
u since 99% of users will want that. You can also
configure ur port and other things.
If however for some reason u want a bleeding edge of
apache and u have compiled it urself, u can always
use the update-rc.d script after creating a chota
shell script called apache.sh or something and putting
it under /etc/init.d
I am attaching my apache script for ur reference.
