OK Sriram, then what is the solution, i want to stop this email. Coz it would
put me in the problem on security issues with the company.

anyone can send mail to the list admin with ANY from address. would you
like for me send you a mail with your mail as the from address? done. you
should have received it already. so, someone could play a prank on you by

these are not chain emails. ilugc is a legitimate mailing list that has
been in existance for about 8 years now.
Otherwise i will talk to IT person and want to take the necessary action
against your group.
first off, dont issue such meaningless threats. i would have been happy to
unsubscribe you once i have established the genuineness of your request.
but if you want to issue such threats, i am not inclined to do so. you may
unsubscribe yourself. go ahead and talk to your IT person. perhaps, your
IT person can make more sense of this mail and explain to you what is
happening.
According to my knowledge i know that i havn't give my email id in any
of the websites like this.
perhaps, this email id was earlier used by someone else (who subscribed to
this list)? you cannot get on this mailing list by giving your email id
anywhere. there is one and only one way to get on this list. you have to
first make a request (by mail or through the web); in response to this
request, you will receive a confirmation request stating that a request to
subscribe has been received and subscription to the list will be effected
only if you reply to this confirmation request. so, it is not possible for
anyone to subscribe you without your knowledge. perhaps, an earlier owner
of this id was subscribed to the list - but then the account became
inactive or was disabled, causing mails to bounce. as a courtesy to list
members, we periodically re-activate bouncing mail addresses and if they
continue to bounce, the addresses are deleted from the subscriber list. in
your case, it would appear that the account was only temporarily bouncing,
so mail service has resumed.
