I think we can create a portal like http://mohankumars.com ;
this would be useful, if we wud put up audio files explaining various
concepts of linux varying from those for newbies to experts.
And the same portal should have a radio streaming facility as that of
mohankumars' live radio.
We shouldn't be strict about using unpatented or linux-only compatible
encoding. Because we should attract windows users also to linux. If we put
up the audio files in windows media player non-compatible format, then,
windows users may not be interestedin downloading mplayer for windows and
playing the files in command line mode. So we may lose some visitors. Our
aim should be to provide knowledge to existing linux users and to attract
windows users to the linux community.
Comments are welcome.

An interesting thing to do would be to have a weeklyGreat idea!
radio news/update.
If we implement this, surely it will create great change.
Now a days most of the technical guys and students have the
awareness about linux and free soft (it also increase day by
day by mailgroups,meetings,school/college syllabus).
But What about End users? (who is going to use the linux applications)
Now a days most of them started to computerized their (even small)
business.In <http://business.In> <http://business.In> town
sides, they only know computer as computer with MS Windows(mostly pirate ).
So atleast they should hear few words about linux and free soft. Then
only they think about linux side.
To overcome this , surely the only way is radio . Because Radio is the
easiest and popular media over middle class.
so please discuss
about this.
bye
