Greetings!
With the rising number of GNU/Linux User Groups in
colleges, there is a very high demand for
workshop/seminars. As much as I'd love to go to the
colleges where I have already been, there is still
more work to be done at colleges/universities where
students/faculty are still unaware of education and
FLOSS. This is the ultimate challenge.
With your help, we can groom more students/faculty
from various colleges who have already enjoyed the
FLOSS experience to speak/advocate FLOSS.
I request the NRC-FOSS members to have a new link in
their wiki, similar to the Mentors page:
http://nrcfosshelpline.in/code/wiki/FellowshipMentors
for new speakers interested in advocating FLOSS and
sharing FLOSS knowledge. The page can have four
columns: Name, topic(s) of interest, contact details,
availability. Availability is to check if you are
available on a particular day for a workshop or not.
As a speaker, it doesn't matter if you are a
student/faculty/industry person, or if you can speak
good English or not. As long as you know your FLOSS
stuff, you are passionate about it, and you can
express yourself, you should be fine. Grammar/accent
doesn't matter.
