There is a case to be made for paying lip-service in public, to the best
aspects of human psyche, however hypocritically.
The hope is that one day, conscience awakens and tries to make the lies
true.
True economic freedom would allow for private islands of total darkness,
utterly devoid of any need for public morality.
A stable civilization might not be formed when darknets of dissidents trade
weapons and terrorize the common person.
