Friends,
I found it very hard indeed to render the e-ticket
booked thro' irctc properly so I could print it.
Apparently irctc gives you a javascript page with the
ticket. Since I don't have a printer, I want to save
that page and upload it , go to a browsing center and
print it.
But the issue here is that the javascript generated is
buggy and it doesnt do postscript conversion correctly
as a result.
At last I gave up and renamed the printTicket.js file
to printTicket.html, adjusted the two train and irctc
logo file gifs to point to a relative path and I was
done. I printed directly from html.
Am wondering what do you guys do? Is there a way we
can inform the railways about this issue? Wouldn't it
be much better if it spat out a pdf that cannot be
edited instead of js or html?
Anyone has any contact with the railways to get this
done?
Thanks.
regards,
Girish
