Hello All:
An year ago I had setup an OpenLDAP server and the server was basically
used as a centralized user management and as an authentication server for
the GNU/Linux and Sun Solaris boxes. While setting up the server I had
created a CA Certificate in the server for the purpose of using TLS/SSL
for communication between the server and the client. The certificate got
expired and I had created a new one (In the server) and replaced the old
one. But when I try to authenticate using one of the client (RedHat AS
2.1), I am getting "Access Denied" message. If I log into the client as
ROOT (The ROOT account is still in the "/etc/passwd" file) and execute
the "/usr/sbin/authconfig" command and remove the TLS option, then the
authentication works. The question is "Do I have to do any changes in the
client side for the TLS to work?". When setting up the client for the
first time (i.e. an year ago), I did not do any change on the client
machine except running the "authconfig" command and entering the relevant
details. Any suggestions or pointers would be appreciated. Thank You.
