Folks:
I have registered for BSNL by filling out their online form. I had a
few questions on what to expect:
1. The form does not allow me to specify that I want an Ethernet modem.
Should I expect them to ask later?
2. Since the modem will plug into a phone line, does the modem feature a
phone outlet so that I can still attach my phone? Or would I need to
separately purchase a splitter?
3. Does BSNL supply filters with the modem? (A filter is a small device
attached to those phone lines that are not being used for DSL. It
filters out high frequency DSL signals so that the voice lines that
may be used simultaneously do not get affected.) How many filters
are included?
I plan to use the service with FC3. FC3 has a lot of updates. I hope
the 1GB plan will suffice.
