Dear Friends,
I have tried to configure NIS Master and NIS Client in two computers loaded
with Fedora 8.
Iam getting the following error on running in Server
[root@nisserver ~]# service ypbind start
Starting NIS service:???????????????????????????????????? [? OK? ]
Binding NIS service: .........??????????????????????????? [FAILED]
Shutting down NIS service:??????????????????????????????? [? OK? ]
[root@nisserver ~]#
I also ran the following command in server
[root@nisserver ~]# rpcinfo -u nisserver ypserv
rpcinfo: RPC: Unknown host
program 100004 is not available
[root@nisserver ~]#
