My apologies for the long delay - I'm no Web-scraping expert and got
side-tracked :( I've finally managed to download about 130MB of
material and have burned 3 CD's (copies). The CD's are with Madan
Srinivasan who will be coming to MIT. I'm a little unsure about making
it to the LUG meeting since I've an appointment in Besant Nagar at
2:30.
Most of the files are .ps, .pdf, or .html. I've cleaned up the
refences to the actual website in some of the .html's (and they are
hopefully the ones that have .ps/.pdf copies). There may be other
issues that I've not found or thought of with the ebooks. Based on
feedback from this CD, I can add to/delete from/modify the selection.
To the best of my knowledge, the content stays true to the various
licenses. Please let me know if that doesn't turn out to be the case.
I noticed the LDP CD's are being sold at cost ($3.50) as part of an
inventory cleanup
(http://www.embeddedlogic.com/ELSweb/LDPCD_info.html). If somebody
gets a copy from the US and the contents turn out to be less than 800
MB, it might be a good idea to add the other material and generate a
fresh CD.
