Afternoon Schedule (Parallel Sessions like LDD):-
Well if I am not missing anything then the LDD in question here is the
one we had sometime in july or august i guess. Or is it an earlier
one.
How many talks on simultaneously. I serioulsy dont like this
multitasking of talks in conferences as we can miss out on quallity
stuff like this in other talks while we attend something equally good.
I think it is always a good idea to stretch the length of the event
rather than have simultaneous sessions or rather squeeze the sessions
(and lose out on SOME quality) and get a brief idea across. For the
IEEE thing the latter approch could be handy as in depth can always
begained by people through personal education. But basically our aim
should be to get an idea across in 20 minutes of what each technology
is about and what r the options available. This way the talk remains
interesting for those who like it and good for those who dont too (20
minutes aint much to stand a boring talk like 1 that a person like me
would give on LAMP). At this rate post lunch say starting from even at
1500 hours we can have 9 techs discussed in 3 hours.
P.S: The multitasking thing is also something which humans are not so
efficient at as machines are. The talks really need tog get co
ordinated for people to switch from one venue to another which leads
to the point of again having a restrined talk which leads us to the
approach discussed above.
