Hi Deepak,
I work in one of the bigger IT companies here in
Chennai. My work mostly involves J2EE.

Dear group,
Hello. I have been a passive member for a long time
in the group.
Appreciate the efforts taken by the guys -
especially after seeing
today's meet.
A bit of introduction is in line here - please bear
with me for just a
minute. I am a freelance IT
consultant/developer/manager (yes, different
hats) working on various platforms (J2EE, Python,
Rails, etc.) and in
various domains (retail, insurance, etc).
Anyways, coming to the point of the post, I am
working seriously on two
start-up ideas - one to do with SaaS in the
financial services industry
in the US and the other (probably more interesting
to the guys here) has
got to do with music. In fact in the latter, we
(another person and
myself) are amongst the final 7 of the business plan
competition being
held by Intel and are in serious talks with various
VCs.
On both fronts, I am looking for serious hacker(s)
in the true sense of
the word. The potential person needs to be:
* a technology guru - if that was not very obvious
:)
* ability to learn and adapt to new
technologies/platforms/approaches
* problem solving needs to be your passion
* probably either already work for a start-up and
want to join as a
founder or wants to get out of routine services jobs
and wants to do
something on their own
* wants to work on a variety of new (and some old :)
) concepts and
ideas in an ever-changing environment
If you noticed, I didn't mention professional
experience - because I
don't really believe in that - if I did, I would not
have started out as
a freelancer right after graduation.
I am open to a variety of terms of engagements
ranging from part-equity/
part-compensation to pure compensation to pure
equity. Basically I am a
very flexible person and I am sure we can work
something out based on
your current requirements.
Guys interested can ping me off-list via the same
email ID or via my
mobile on 94441 01706. Would love to have a chat
with you and see how we
can take it forward.
Thanks and sorry for the pretty long email. Just
thought I had to be
very clear whilst putting across my points.
Thanks and good luck.
Deepak Ramesh
