1. ST PE: Java, J2ee and Scripting Shell or PERL with Unix Bkg is a
must
The Server Technologies Porting group at Oracle - IDC will be
responsible for releasing the Oracle RDBMS, Oracle CollabrationSuite,
Oracle Application Server and Enterprise Manager products on different
Unix, Linux and Windows platforms. We areseeking motivated Engineers
(MTS, SMTS and PMTS) and Managers to be part of this team who have
experience with different operating systems (HP64, AIX 4.3, TRU 64, IA
64 etc) and Windows internals and have a passion for the 'engineering'
part of software engineering
Education:
BE (Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications) degree from a
top university Experience on shell scripting, Perl, familiarity of OS
like HP64, AIX 4.3, TRU 64, IA 64 will be added advantage 8+ years of
hands-on experience on Java,J2ee and scripting (Shell or PERL). Strong
architectural and design expertise and hands on in latest technologies
like Java, J2EE, JUNIT, EJB, Struts, Perl, SQL and Shell Scripting.
Experience in product design Using OOAD/UML. Good Exposure to UNIX
environment. Good Understanding of design Patterns AND BEST PRACTICES
2.ST Integration and Build Reqirements
Work as product integrator using standard configuration management
system adhering to standards and processes. Help integration of
different components in Oracle products like RDBMS, IAS, OCS or EM.
Requirements
* Indepth knowledge of the various shells available in the Unix/Linux
platforms
* Should be strong in Shell scripting. Knowledge of PERL is highly
desirable (Bourne, tcsh, ksh etc)
* Configuration management system (clearcase/cvs) knowledge mandatory
* Knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows system administration
* Knowledge of C, Makefiles gdb,debugging skills
* Additional knowledge of Java and XML is recommended
* Knowledge of oracle products, any middle tier webservers, SQL, preferable
* Should be able to work both independently as well as (or as) a good team
player.
3. ST -_Server Farm Development-JC:
Server Farm is ST's distributed, high throughput computing environment
for building and testing the Oracle database and application server
products and components. The Server Farm is supported on Linux,
Solaris and Windows platforms. The Server Farm currently supports
hundreds of developers and thousands of systems and will eventually
support all the developers in ST.
The job involves developing and enhancing the Server Farm for new
requirements and functionality, including supporting new products and
components.
You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the existing
products and components on the farm. ? You will also be involved in
helping out the users understand the farm and help resolve .Issues
that users encounter on the farm.
Education: ?
B.E. in Comp Sc. Or Electrical Sciences Or M.C.A from reputed colleges
/ univ (Preferably from (IIT/REC/BITS/), RVCE/BMSCE/PESIT/UVCE.
Experience: 2-6 Years of relevant Exp
Skills required :
? Experience in C, C++ on Solaris , unix and Linux.
? Experience in Perl is a must.
? Experience in Java and Perl on Linux.
? Experience on Windows and PL/SQL a definite plus
